Computer-Based
Training (CBT) / Web Based Training (WBT) is a preferred
method for delivering training in many organizations.
Praxis has developed many hours of Computer Based
Training programs for our clients. These programs
artfully combine text, sound, graphics and simulation
to create a powerful training environment.
Three-dimensional models and animation show students
how equipment operates in cut-away view, saving
thousands of words and hours of time as the internal
mechanisms become obvious. At Praxis we believe
that transferring information is not enough. For
training to be effective, the trainee must apply
newly-gained knowledge. This is why we take great
care to build practice exercises and simulation
into our training programs.

Vision

Fifteen
years ago, Praxis was one of the earliest
developers of Computer-based Training
Technology and PC-based Process Simulations.
Today we continue to be a research
and development leader. We have our
own research laboratories, and have
close ties with British Columbia Universities.

Recent
developments include simulation-based
aptitude tests, and computer-based multi-tasking
tests of attention. Currently we are
developing a system of real-time learning
analysis based on Bayesian Statistics,
so that we can spend more time teaching
you what you don't know and less time
teaching you what you know. We are also
developing a Computer-based Learning
System that manages the learner's mental
state to maintain optimum learning performance.
We call this technology "DeepLearning™."
Predictive modeling of security and
safety is also a field in which we have
a deep interest.
