Senior Programmer/Application Developer

Praxis is currently seeking programmers with some managerial skills to assist in software development and online training applications. Creative solutions and new ideas are the norm here at Praxis. The successful applicant would be a skilled problem solver with knowledge of any or all of the following languages; Java, ActionScript, XML, PHP, Open Source, Suse, BSD, Apache, Learning Systems, HTTP XML messaging or any other relevant scripting languages. Additional skills such as Photoshop, Flash, knowledge of 3D and/or video programs would be an asset.

Graphics Designer/Web Illustrator

Praxis is looking for motivated technical illustrators to join our young and dynamic organization based in Nanaimo. Work involves producing graphics for online training materials and includes creating content and illustrating eLearning modules and simulations. We are a growing company that is looking for individuals who are interested in learning new skills and working in a flexible and fun environment.

Skills
Experience with: Flash 8 or better, 3D Studio, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere.

Ability to work in a low-supervision, high-creativity environment is important as is the ability to learn new skills.

Understanding of video techniques is an asset.
