Senior Programmer/Application Developer

Praxis is currently seeking programmers with some managerial skills to assist in software development and online training applications. Creative solutions and new ideas are the norm here at Praxis. The successful applicant would be a skilled problem solver with knowledge of any or all of the following languages; Java, ActionScript, XML, PHP, Open Source, Suse, BSD, Apache, Learning Systems, HTTP XML messaging or any other relevant scripting languages. Additional skills such as Photoshop, Flash, knowledge of 3D and/or video programs would be an asset.

e-Learning Script Writer

Praxis is currently seeking a part-time technical writer and instructional designer to author scripts for eLearning courses. The successful applicant would be someone capable of learning new subjects, and using their experience and creativity generate an instructional script on the subject to be used as the basis for an eLearning course. Subjects range from Safety, Health and Environmental, Regulatory and Compliance, Maintenance and Operations, and other topics related to continuous process industries such as oil and gas. An understanding of the technical aspects of the industry is useful, or a desire to learn them. A background in technical writing and facility with the English language are necessary. The option to work from home is available. Interview process will include producing a sample script based on materials to be provided by Praxis.
